As an accountant at SPV Accounting you can be involved in the decision-making process of our value clients. Step businesses through the myriad of tax legislation and help them grow and meet their financial goals.

Of course you will still need to be proficient and be experienced in:

• Preparation of financial statements
• Preparation in all tax returns forms
• Preparation of self managed superannuation fund’s annual financial statements and SMSF returns, essential
• Use of Office 365
• Experienced in Xero (preferred software)
• Use of MYOB, QBO is desired but not essential
• Work well with others

• Willing to adapt and learn to new technologies
• Willing to learn new programs
• Keep up to date with changes in business and tax legislation
• Develop your so called “soft skills”

About you

You've been working as a bookkeeper in a professional services firm or similar for 3 years or more, and you are looking for a new challenge. You will be someone with lots of energy and have a keen eye for detail, you love a busy, dynamic environment and are team oriented. As a valued member of our team you will also be friendly, outgoing and personable.

We are a Xero firm you will need to be experienced in Xero with a current advisor certificate.

About the role

You will report directly to your Manager and will work closely with both our onshore and offshore teams in order to service the needs of one of our largest clients. You will use the latest in cloud-based technology to undertake various tasks such as:

• Accounts payable/receivable
• Reviewing work papers
• Reconciling accounts
• Payroll and superannuation
• BAS and IAS preparations
• Client management
  

To be considered for this position ahead of other candidates, you will also have:

• Outstanding organisation skills with the ability to prioritise your workload with minimal supervision
• Outstanding problem solving skills
• Ability to build and maintain professional client relationships with exceptional interpersonal skills
• You must be willing to learn and adapt to the ever changing cloud technology and processes as they become available.
